The Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe (LWL) works as a municipal association with around 17,000 employees for the 8.3 million people in the region of Westphalia-Lippe. It runs 35 special schools, 21 hospitals and 18 museums and is also one of the largest German aid payers for people with disabilities.

The adjoining restaurant – named in honour “Wilhelm 1896” – welcomes its guests with a wide range of food on a varied menu. At an altitude of 200 meters, the restaurant has seating for 150 people indoors, and a further 100 on the terrace.
